Twelve nights across the last week of the year — ancient Cairo, then the warm, slow blue of the Red Sea. A private villa in each city, chef-prepared meals, Sprinter transfers throughout, and a rhythm that works for four children as easily as it does for seven adults.

Please treat everything that follows as a very high-level estimate. No negotiations with vendors have been initiated and no actual pricing has been obtained — figures and options are indicative only.

No flights are included, domestic or international. We have assumed roughly three days of activities and tours in each city. Leg one · 22 – 28 December

Cairo

Egypt's capital is the gateway to the ancient world — the Giza plateau, the new Grand Egyptian Museum and its treasures, and layers of Pharaonic, Islamic and Coptic history stacked along the Nile. Late December is the kindest time to be here: bright, dry days and cool evenings.

Weather then: 68–72°F days, 46–52°F nights. Dry and sunny; rain is rare.
Airport: Cairo International (CAI) — roughly 31–37 miles to the villa areas, 45–70 minutes by road.
Base: Sheikh Zayed City, the green, gated western suburbs — about 30–40 minutes from the pyramids.

Seven-bedroom garden villa

Palm Hills, Sheikh Zayed City

Seven bedrooms and eight bathrooms — comfortable space for 11, with room to spread out.
Private garden and pool, two separate living areas and a full dining room for group meals.
Inside a manicured gated compound known for golf, landscaped streets and family amenities.
About 30–40 minutes to the Giza pyramids and close to Cairo's best malls and restaurants.
Air conditioning throughout, washer and dryer, easy Sprinter access at the gate.

Option two

Six-bedroom premium mansion

Royal City, Sheikh Zayed

Six bedrooms configured for the group, with generous shared living space.
Quiet, high-end gated compound in the same western corridor — privacy is the draw here.
Similar drive times to Giza and central Cairo; slightly further from the airport.
Best suited if the group prefers one large mansion feel over a garden-and-pool layout.

Hurghada & El Gouna

The Red Sea coast is all coral reef and turquoise lagoon set against bare desert mountains — some of the finest snorkelling and diving in the world, plus dunes, marinas and long unhurried days. This is where the trip exhales.

Weather then: 72–73°F days, 54–57°F nights. Sea around 75°F, ~9 hours of sun.
Airport: Hurghada International (HRG) — 16–22 miles to El Gouna (25–40 min); ~12 miles south to the Sahl Hasheesh side (25–30 min).
Getting around: Golf carts and short drives in El Gouna.

Option one · fits all 11

Lagoon-side residence with private pool

Fanadir Bay, El Gouna

Sleeps the full party of 11 — the simplest option for keeping everyone under one roof.
Private pool, shaded terraces and multiple indoor lounges for the group to gather.
In El Gouna, the lagoon town known as the Venice of the Red Sea — marinas, canals, golf and a walkable downtown.
Beach, restaurants and watersports minutes away; top dive sites are a short boat ride out.
25–40 minutes from Hurghada airport.

Option two

White villa with private beach & pool

South Hurghada / Sahl Hasheesh side

Beach access plus a private pool — the most beachfront-forward of the two.
Bright white-and-sea interiors, sea-view bedrooms and a walled garden.
Gated resort community with a calm house reef, promenade and five-star neighbours.
Quieter than central Hurghada, with the town's restaurants a short drive away.
25–30 minutes from Hurghada airport.

Transfers

Breakfast daily and most dinners prepared in the villa, with a kids' menu alongside the grown-up one. Market shopping handled for you.

Guides

Licensed Egyptologists for the historic sites, chosen for being genuinely good with children — shorter, story-led visits rather than lectures.

Rooming

Both cities are single-villa stays, so rooming can be finalised late.
